Wilma has demonstrated a big commitment to learning English since she arrived at ISS. She enjoys repeating songs that we sing and phrases from stories that we read to her friends and incorporating them into her play.
She often self-selects books from the classroom library during free play time and reads them with our stuffed animals. She looks carefully at the illustrations and uses them to follow the plot of stories.
This week Wilma has taken action by using an iPad app called Skitch to document our classroom environment and play with photography.
All of these activities are examples of Wilma's high level of independence in learning.
