Daniel used this photo of him playing with his friends to collect ideas for a story. He used the app Draw & Tell to illustrate pictures and record his voice.
Student-led conferences are a chance for students to take the lead and show their families some of their best work, favourite activities, and how much progress they've made over the year.
In other words . . . a celebration of learning!
Here is Daniel's reflection on his Student-led Conference:
"It was fun because I got to show Lava Car to my mummy."
Recently we have been doing a lot of playing with shapes. We have been studying their form and observing how they appear in different ways in the world around us. Aziz can confidently name the common shapes: circle, triangle, square and rectangle. He is also challenging himself to learn the names of new, more complicated shapes. Daniel's favourite work with shapes has been creating different designs with them. He chose this piece for his portfolio because: "It's fun. I built a train with squares and circles". In this work he shows how he can manipulate and adapt shapes to make new shapes and images.
