Two of our three Lines of Inquiry for our 'Who We Are' unit of inquiry are about friends:
We've been having lots of discussions during our play and morning and afternoon meetings about what a friend is and why they are important in our lives. Here are some of our ideas:
Daniel: Aziz is my friend. I like him.
Zoe: I like my friends because they play with me.
Denzil: Samir is my friend. He always says nice words to me.
Emma: Lea is my friend. She plays with me when I am alone.
Lea: A friend is nice and a friend is good because they play with you.
Denzil: When it's your first time playing with someone and you show them your toys that's how they are your friend.
Here are some drawings of us with our friends:
- The role of friends and family
- How friends are made and kept
