Today is the Mid-Autumn Festival, which is a harvest festival celebrated by Chinese and Vietnamese people. We learned that the moon cakes we eat in celebration of the festival are connected to the full moon that we see in the sky. We read the story Round is a Mooncake by Roseanne Thong and watched a video with Ms. Linda in Mandarin class that told us the story of the Festival. Thank you to Daniel's family who brought in some delicious moon cakes to share with us today. Some of us tried them for the first time!
