Ms. Alison thinks 'The People Fall in the Sea' film is an example of Axel's best work because he worked creatively and collaboratively with a team of friends to create an original story using imagination and new apps.
Axel's favourite part of our 'How We Express Ourselves' unit of inquiry was our field trip to the Big Eyes, Big Minds Singapore International Children's Film Festival. He wanted to include this experience in his portfolio because of his favourite film 'High Above the Sky'. He said: "The rocket was going to space and I love it."
When Axel returned to school he was very interested in creating his own films. He worked as part of a team to create this:
Axel has worked hard at learning how to form numbers all year long. He often practices during them during his free playtime using the whiteboards and whiteboard markers to show what he can do. Axel can now write the numbers one to five confidently. Well done Axel! You showed a lot of commitment and responsibility towards your own learning!

This week we measured our heights for the very last time in K1. We noticed that once again, we had all grown taller! We reflected individually and as a whole class on the changes that had happened. We also made comparisons between each other's heights using math vocabulary, like taller and shorter.
